We're updating loads of old vehicles, optimising the lines and building a brand new high-speed rail link across the center of the map in this final episode!

@
@pianoplayer20144 years agoIf you want your bus lines to make money, don't use loops. Find 2 intersecting major roads in each big city, and make a north-south line, and an east-west line. Make sure that the lines double back on themselves, going in the other direction too. This makes a profit, and because cities in TF2 use grids most of the time, it is great. Grid cities in real life also use bus lines like this. (there aren't bus loops in Toronto). ...1

@umberto80184 years agoMy compliments as always. Could you build a three story station? The first level would be underground. The second level is at street level. The third level is above everything. If you know the compass rose, take a piece of paper, make a point in the center and the lines will go through that point. The first level runs from north to south. Level 0 at street level runs from west to east. The third level runs from north-northeast to south-southwest. Look DAS + / I + / overlap these symbols and you will understand. ...1

@
@Cornbane4 years agoMost cases of lines balancing perfectly or close to perfectly are from 2 conditions being met: 1) You have the vehicles wait for a full load. 2) You have a number of vehicles/train cars/etc. that would cause a line rate beyond the current production rate of the industry. You can tell if the latter is the case if you have vehicles lining up at the pick-up depot while the one at the front is waiting to get a full load. Or if you don't have the vehicles waiting for a full load, the vehicles are delivering with partial loads all the time. That usually means you can sell a vehicle or 2 (or downsize train cars) to save some more running costs while not losing delivery income. Also, you are correct that citizens only go from residential to either commercial or industrial buildings. They also return from the buildings. So they'll go from Res > Com > Res > Ind > Res and so on. ...

@eridal15482 years agoI would suggest using high-speed trains only for cities across the map, not making them stop in every city they pass. cities between can be connected by local service - works perfectly like this and you will make very profitable high-speed line. ...

@theelectrickart85154 years agoLoop for bus and tram are not the most efficient. I usually do my bus and tram line like my train line but i dont use the range of the stop because the distance between your stop affect a lot on the frequentation of your line . If you put a stop 200 meter next to another the will do the travel because the ai take the shorter way and if you put stop just to only cover the city the ai will walk you need to take exemple of real life network bus and tram because yours bus network are not efficient ...
