“No, Molotov” ( Fin. Njet, Molotoff ) is a Finnish song of 1939, dedicated to the events of the Soviet-Finnish war of 1939-1940 . Melody Matti Yurva , lyrics by Tatu Pekkarinen. The song makes fun of the difficulties of the Red Army during the assault on the Mannerheim line . The main object of ridicule in the song is the then People's Commissar of Foreign Affairs of the USSR Vyacheslav Molotov , who is compared with Nikolai Bobrikov , the governor general of the Grand Duchy of Finland , known for his crack policy. The melody used the motifs of the Russian folk song “ I went to the fair a merchant’s soup ” [1] . Matti Jurva recorded the song on a record in 1942, already during the Second World War, to the music of the orchestra under the direction of Georges Godzinsky
