FILM DESCRIPTION: In this psychological thriller, a needy young woman finds fulfillment by trying to literally become her successful roommate. Attractive Manhattanite Allison Jones (Bridget Fonda) has it all: a handsome beau, a rent-controlled apartment, and a promising career as a fashion designer. When boyfriend Sam (Steven Weber) proves unfaithful, Allison strikes out on her own but must use the classifieds to seek out a roommate in order to keep her spacious digs. In steps Hedra Carlson (Jennifer Jason Leigh), who's timid and frumpy but puppy-dog sweet. The self-centered Allison finds Hedra's eager friendship flattering, but soon she grows annoyed as Hedra begins emulating everything about her. After Allison gets back with Sam and asks Hedra to please vacate the premises, the pert beauty really gets to see her weird new roomie's bad side -- Hedra, it seems, is downright homicidal. When id="hidden1" class="buttons"> I think of that female friend I think of this scene. That female friend was too needy, desperate, clingy, co-dependent, nosy, intrusive, meddling, invasive, and wanted my ex-boyfriend and wanted to be friends with all of my online friends. It's like I didn't have any private space online to myself. She was like a Judas, a leech, vampire, boa constrictor, & vulture in her actions and behavior with me -- yet she was acting like she cared about me. How can people who say they care about you do so many hurtful things to you or me by invading almost every department of your life, violating your trust and privacy, and wanting to copy or take over many things of your life?
Copying some things is fine and flattering for a while. But copying and wanting MANY things your friend has is overkill. This scene shows how crazy people can get and the lengths they go to when they try to overtake a friend's life and wants almost everything that friend had or has and when that friend rarely gives that friend breathing space. She wasn't a good friend. She should have never befriended people who have hurt me this year. And she should have never wanted the friends I had to be her friends. And she should have never initiated contact my ex-boyfriend and had a relationship with him. I'm sorry. But this scene just makes me think of that female friend. I have a headache now. Be VERY careful whom you let be a close friend to you or whom you let be a roommate living with you. ....وسعت 39
