@danieldempsey82979 months ago Ok so first note it the kinetic energy needed to test thet truthfully is mostly lost because you are barely holding thet tube in front of him.
If you want any actual data you would need to firmly hold the tube steady so it doesn't shake and move thuse reducing the impact force of the shrimps impact.
I have seen these things bust through aquariums if they get big enough ...

@nivision8 months ago Man, I've broken a good half dozen of these particular test tubes (api master test kit defaults) on sheer accident, it's actually a problem how fragile they are you can knock them over on a hard surface and have them chip. No way he was punching at that full cited strength in this test. ...

This test tube experiment wouldn’t work because the shrimp is really smart. No need to waste its energy on something of no benefit. ...

Yours was hitting it in the middle, making it more difficult, he's also weaker than normal mantis shrimp, seeing as normally the sound of it hitting that same glass test tube is much louder.
All animals, even ones in the same species, are different just like people. Your mantis shrimp is somewhat weaker for whatever reason. ...
