Air Commodore Simon Strasdin, speaking exclusively to Forces News' Sian Grzeszczyk (@SianGrz), said it remains difficult to know when the UK's contribution to the coalition mission against IS, codenamed Operation Shader, will end. @nosamsemaj9150منذ 3 سنوات We’ve been talking about how much of a state the Middle East is in for a couple decades now. Yet now we look at countries like Iraq, where democratic elections are being held and IS are reduced to almost nothing, the same in Syria but still slightly more turbulent, and now even in Afghanistan (which isn’t technically the Middle East) we see peace with the Taliban regardless of whether they have broken a signed agreement with us, Afghanistan is more stable now than it has been in 20 years.
We still see chaos coming from Yemen and Israel/Palestine but I think the Middle East has come a long way in the past 2-3 years.

@mcdiarmid71منذ 3 سنوات Sorry. But the cost of putting 2 Typhoons + a tanker to hit a few ISIS with a paveway is a monumental waste of money. You could probably buy them off for £50, then chuck them in a ditch. 1
