Today, I am sharing my take on south Indian Thali. Typically, Thali consists of appetizers, main course, sides and desert.
In this thali you will see recipes for:
Pineapple kesari (dessert), green beans fry, dosakaya curry, tomato rasam.. basic south indian rasam, plain rice accompanied by curd, pickle and appalam (papadam).

1) Pineapple Kesari
Ingrediants:
1 cup rawa/semolina
3/4 cup Sugar
1 cup pineapple crushed
ghee
kesar
dry fruits of your choice .
2) Basic Tomato rasam
Ingrediants:
1 big tomato diced
1 tbl spn jaggery
2 tbl spn rasam powder
tamerind pulp
1/2 cup cooked toor daal
curry leaves, green chillies, garlic, dry redd chillies for tempering
dry spices like hing, turmeric powder, red chilly powder and salt
3) Green beans fry
Ingrediants:
2 cups boiled green beans
2 tbl spn shredded fresh coconut
1 green chilly, curry leaves
For tempering: oil, mustard seeds, hing, turmeric powder, slit urad daal,
salt to taste
4) Dosakaya curry
Ingrediants:
1 cup peeled diced dosakaya
1 small onion chopped
1 medium tomato chopped
ginger garlic paste
Green chillies 3
curry leaves
Oil, salt to taste
Dry spices: red chilly powder, hing, turmeric powder, jeera
5) Plain boiled rice
I used sona masoori rice.
1 cup rice: 3 cups water
6) Appalam/ Papad fried as appatizer
7) Mango pickle homemade
8) Curd/ yogurt homemade.
