@skylagaaia66153 years agoI watched the Ireland vs Japan game, and if there was a team that I thought will give the ABs a hard game and even win against the ABs, it has to be Ireland. The flowing supportive game they played was very much the All Blacks style of game, including the ease, of completing set plays…what is great to see, is Ireland is changing to the faster flowing, and more entertaining style of rugby. I won’t be surprised if Ireland’s success rate in the northern hemisphere increases with this faster flowing style. Not going down with the ball is a huge thing with the ABs, hence the huge importance of support play… Ireland can take the ABs this weekend… ...

@kenrehill87753 years agoIreland don’t have the physicality to put the ABs on the back foot, and that’s the only way you can beat them. 3

@Farzocalypse213 years agoFunny that the first 2nd row Alan thinks of is James Ryan. When, of the three, hes the only one who didn't get picked for the lions. We might need to accept in Ireland, that Ryan has thus far, not achieved the levels his potential marked him out for. He should be 3rd choice at the minute. ...11

@crookedpaths66123 years agoAt the end of the day you play for the national team for the prestige and honour. However if the team culture is toxic then it’s tempting for a player or a coaching staff to just think that their time might be better served following the money and that’s club rugby. ...

@matthewpotter84913 years agoHope I’m wrong, but can see us taking a battering from the All Blacks in this series. To me, sort of feels Irish rugby is in an odd place at the minute. Some of the selections for this squad have baffled me. 1
