@peterclarke70068 months ago "take on me" used to be my home straight running song. No matter how gassed you felt, no matter how heavy your legs, when that chorus kicks in, you FLY.
    Absolute banger of a tune.

@UnderTheMillkyWay11 months ago Tears for Fears was in my top 3 favorite bands of the 80's and I'm so glad I got to see them on tour again. It had been 20 plus years since I saw them and they sounded amazing. I never thought they'd get back together to do another tour and when I heard they were I was waiting to get their tickets the day they went on sale. I went even sick fighting cancer and being in so much pain. What was crazy was I didn't think I was going to make it even when I was there. I thought I'm going to have to leave but once they started singing I forgot all about my pain. I was crying because the pain had went numb just from hearing them sing live again. I was just a child the first time I saw them and it took me back to those days and I'll never forget it either. ... 344

@stephencapillas186111 months ago Of course the chances of them sounding as good as if not better than the way they sounded in their youth are small but that doesn’t diminish their stature in any way. They still sound good—at least they’re not ruining their performances by overstretching their limits. Aging happens to everyone, it’s aging gracefully that matters. ... 36
