LabVIEW - Reverse engineering EXE back to project

Creating LV project, building it, and then making buildable project again by extracting EXE file and reconstructing sub-vi Front Panel. This is a presentation of progress within pylabview project. The tool is capable of extracting and re-packing any RSRC file from LabVIEW; this includes VI files, but also other types of LV resources.

    @ybnbn1286last year Hello, I have a similar problem, I was able to get the "llb" file and extract VIs inside to a folder, how may I recover de front panels and the block diagram. Any hint is appreciated, thanks

    @beest_8 months ago no way in the world to get the block diagram. There are three parts to VI when gets built to executable
    1: Front panel: if the VI is used as subVI only then automatically the setting to remove FP is selected
    You can recreate the FP controls, but all the design and placements are gone.
    2: block diagram. By default the BD is removed, and they are gone forever
    3: code: this is the part that this tool is recapturing

    @bxu7893 years ago A decent size LabVIEW project consists of thousands of subVIs. It will be impossible to recover them one by one. Also, recover of frontpanel is not very useful. Block diagram has all the interested information if you agree.
