We can show a 3-digit number by using blocks. The digit in the hundreds place tells the number of hundreds blocks. The digit in the tens place tells the number of tens blocks. The digit in the ones place tells the number of ones blocks. When we use blocks to show a number, we use the fewest amount possible. Don't use 10 tens to make 1 hundred, we use 1 block of a hundred. We can draw a quick picture to show a 3-digit number. We don't use the word "and" when we read or write whole numbers. We solve 3 word problems that involve modeling 3-digit numbers. 2nd Grade Math 2.1, Group Tens as Hundreds /watch/8J8qy8nB5ERBq 2nd Grade Math 2.2, Explore 3-Digit Numbers /watch/8NdU4BtbQqTbU 2nd Grade Math playlist: /playlist/PLKi4WTp6PRGUL-MlUdbT5DeAsigMuQc4o I'm using the Houghton Mifflin Go Math! 2015 copyright textbook for this playlist.
