🟥 Subscribe ☑️ Like 🟩 Comment Where can I use this? #prototype #makers #engineering The objective of this electronic engineering project is to create a prototype of an adapter that allows me to connect fans via USB to cool/vent electronic devices, such as an internet router, to increase the performance of data processing, and thus, by ventilating, I can have speed faster internet and data transfer on the network. Using only 2 pins of the USB plug, the VCC pin and the EARTH pin, I connect alternately to the wires of the ATA/IDE cable, allowing to create a row in the connector to connect the VCC and the other row for the TERRA. Using the 40 pins of the cable, I have the possibility to connect 20 fans, and thus cool and cool electronic equipment. On the USB plug, I use the power input (vcc) and ground (ground) pins that are alternately soldered to each of the wires of the IDE cable, so that the plug can have a row to connect the fans VCC and the other row to connect the fans' GND, creating the complete circuit that allows powering the fans. With 40 wires soldered to the cable, it allows you to have up to 20 fans powered by the same USB power adapter. Part 3 – Prototype demonstration cooling a router /watch/Qr7sLQRMmZFMs In this part of the project, I apply the prototype developed in a real situation, using the adapter created to cool an internet router. As I use the router 24 hours a day, transferring/processing hundreds of gigabytes of data a day, the equipment starts to heat up a lot, and thus begins to lower performance and can no longer reach high speeds of sending and receiving information. By using this prototype USB-connected adapter, I can connect several computer fans to cool the inside of the equipment.
