Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell says Australians have “reason to be angry” at a series of governmental failures that led to the current COVID-19 crisis. Several states and territories have imposed lockdowns on large parts of their population following an outbreak of the highly infectious Delta variant of COVID-19, which has seen coronavirus cases across the country surge in recent weeks. Mr Clennell said the New South Wales and Queensland governments made “three massive mistakes”, alongside an “inadequate vaccination program from the federal government,” “If people are angry in Australia right now, there’s school holidays being disrupted, their lives and livelihoods being disrupted. “They’ve got reason to be angry at governments. “Scott Morrison in his press conference last night, he wanted to say to you, be angry at the pandemic, be angry at the pandemic. “I’m sorry, that’s not what the Westminster system is about.”
